BLACK MEETINGS & TOURISM MAGAZINE DIGITAL & PRINT TRADE PUBLICATION ABOUT THE AFRICAN AMERICAN TRAV

Yvonne Pearson, CONSULTANT Pink Dollhouse Marketing

A creative and imaginative thinker since she was young and taking her first steps for a pair of shoes, Yvonne always had a gift of thinking outside the box. A graduate of McDaniel College in 2009, Yvonne discovered her love for both marketing and the arts after she directed and produced her college's first charity fashion show “Looking back to move forward” in 2007. The show brought together the community, raising more than 5,000 dollars for AIDS in Africa and The Invisible Children with media coverage in both the local and city news outlets. At that moment, she knew she wanted to build a career in Marketing and continue her work with charitable causes.
Due to the economic downturn of the 2008 recession, Yvonne worked in retail for the first few years of her career at Bloomingdale's as the Business Manager for Ralph Lauren and BCBG in Washington DC. There she learned about market trends, building client relationships, and fashion marketing. In 2011, inspired by the lack of representation of women of color bloggers she started her blog PinkDollhouse, covering events at New York Fashion Week, as a contributor for Lucky Magazine, and becoming a staple in the growing creative community in Washington, D.C. She has partnered with various brands for promotional giveaways and product reviews including: Dove, Covergirl, Modify Watches, and Elloquii.
In 2017, Yvonne founded PinkDollhouse Marketing LLC to continue working with creatives and small businesses to grow their brand voice through social media, strategic corporate sponsorships, & event management. Outside of her love for fashion, she has worked for the past eight years in marketing growing her knowledge in branding, influencer marketing, and global tourism.
An advocate for education and the arts, Yvonne has worked with Washington DC-based non-profits Red Sprinkle, Suited for Change, and iFly youth; organizations dedicated to providing minorities and women with educational and career readiness training.
"The first thing you should know about marketing is how to sell yourself"  -Yvonne Pearson, Founder, PinkDollhouse Marketing
